Monday 1st Jun 2009 Seishin takes gold again in all range national championships.
On Sunday 31st May 2009 Kamran Ali sensei, the Loughborough instructor successfully defended his all range black belt title at the British Jiu Jiu (all styles) Championships, hosted at the national Judo centre , Wolverhampton University.
He comfortably moved through the early rounds decimating all opponents with strong striking and grappling, regulalry finishing with his trade mark arm bar on the floor. Yet another gold medal for his collection.
Other notable seishin success came from Jack Skinner (Leicester uni) who won silver in the green to blue belt continuous fighting and Karen Williamson who took the silver in the green to blue belt random attacks.
Team coach and cheif instructor Dr Richard Catterick said 'I am very proud of the teams performance, even those who didn't medal on the day showed real heart against tough opposition. Once again we showed that the seishin way is the way, be it in competition or self defence.'
